Teachers and schools are quite often asking me for suggestions or recommendations to support their growth or development in particular areas. I have created this webpage to address some of the most frequent requests. I have worked with all the people suggested below and I have found them to be of high integrity and respect. If they can't support you in your request then I doubt anyone else can!
Grant Writing
One of the areas where teachers and schools struggle is in attracting the money they need to have something happen. It could be to fund a project. It could be to buy the equipment they need. It could be around needing money to send the teachers on PDs to improve their skills. It could even be about funding peopel to come and run PDs in their school rather than travelling. Whilst I coach teachers around sourcing money via local businesses there is a need for schools these days to become really clever about getting grants. There is bucketloads of money out there! But how do you get it?
Robyn Jarram runs Symbiotic Enterprising, based in Queensland, who can support you not only in finding appropriate grants to your circumstances but also will do the writing for you for a small fee. Mind-Body Learning
I have two people I recommend here to support you in developing the mind-body learning - for very different reasons.
Mark Collard has worked in Adventure Learning for over 20 years. He has created a large selection of games and activities that can be easily integrated into the classroom to develop students in feeling safe, being deinhibitised, and developing particular skills. Mike Scadden from Brain Stems Ltd tailors programs that develop students (and teachers!) in the world of brain compatible learning. He has written a range of books ont he neurocognitive and behavioural science behind learning and is a remarkable presenter and facilitator.
